Role Description

This is a 15 hour per week, part time hybrid role for a Payroll Administrator at YMU Business Management, with working Friday's as mandatory.

The Payroll Assistant will assist with completing and managing clients’ payrolls via PAYE schemes. This role is primarily located in the London Area, with flexibility for some remote work.

Key Responsibilities

· Processing weekly and monthly payroll for designated clients

· Answering general queries from accounts colleagues and clients

· Liaising with HMRC

· Liaising with Directors and accounts colleagues in terms of payments to clients, staff and HMRC

· Maintaining computer records

· Processing monthly direct debits for PAYE liabilities

· Processing pensions for all clients

· Filing nil EPS’s for annual clients and maintaining schemes records

· Filing RTI reports as required with HMRC as well as any other PAYE returns as and when required

· Providing ad hoc assistance as and when required

 

Personal Specification

· Previous payroll experience and understanding of processes

· Previous experience with Sage 50 or similar accounts package

· Strong organisational skills

· Adaptable, hard-working and willing to work as part of a team

· Highly efficient, meticulous with strong attention to detail

· Ability to maintain confidentiality

· Positive attitude, ability to work flexibly and committed team player
