He began covering major international sporting events such as the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the Football World Cup and the Cricket World Cup. In 2006, he started working with BBC Sport, presenting Football Focus, Final Score and becoming the youngest ever host of Match of the Day. In 2012, his final year with BBC Sport, he hosted the 2012 Euros, the London Olympics and released his first bestselling book, Inside Track.
He fronted the BBC’s Formula One coverage, which went on to win numerous awards. In 2011, he co-founded Whisper, one of Europe’s fastest-growing independent production companies.
Off screen, Jake is passionate about contributing to the community through charity work. He is Chairman of Norwich Community Sports Foundation and Vice President of Young lives vs Cancer. In 2020, Jake was approved by Queen Elizabeth II to be a Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk. He was also chosen to become one of the first LinkedIn Influencer’s.
In 2020, Jake launched The High-Performance Podcast with co-host Professor Damian Hughes, offering an intimate glimpse into the lives of high-achieving, successful individuals.
