Sam hopes to empower and spark people’s creativity, whether through her drama teaching, teaching resources, or fiction. She’s dyslexic.
Sam went to The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She then went on to study for a BA/BS degree in International Development Studies and Sociology where she was awarded a first-class honours degree and the David Weeks memorial prize.
Sam taught drama full-time for eleven years, and now teaches a little alongside her writing. She writes for The Stage newspaper, Spotlight, and Teach Primary. She is the author of 100 Acting Exercises for 8-18 Year Olds (Bloomsbury Academic/Methuen Drama). In 2024 she will be releasing Acting Games for Improv. Drama Games for Early Years (4 – 7 Years), and Acting Exercises for Creative Writing (Morpho Press).
Sam’s first novel, Under Glass, went viral on Wattpad and was optioned for film and TV by former Warner Bros. President of Film Greg Silverman at Stampede Ventures. Her new YA novel is titled Out of Chaos. It is a #MeToo story set in a Greek-mythology-inspired, AI-driven theme park called Olympia World.
